God has uniquely equipped every person in the Church with specific skills and gifts. As Christians, we are tasked with utilizing these gifts in our community and within our local church. As a Church, we rely on volunteers to help us fulfill Christ's vision that no one will be left behind.
Volunteering is a great way to get plugged into your church, feel like part of a community, and serve Jesus at the same time. Volunteering has a spiritual benefit as well.

This Application will cover all Church Ministries with the exception of Children and Youth.

Volunteer for ESL & Citizenship

ESL & Citizenship

ESL teachers and assistants are volunteers with servant hearts for people from other countries who seek to learn English.
Volunteer Positions:
Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Testing/Registration, Childcare, Visitation, Follow-up with students, Bible study Leaders, Prepare bible study curriculum, and Tutors
Other ways to help:
Provide snacks, Visitation, Gift bag preparation,  Send postcards and birthday cards, Transportation.

Care Team / Prayer Team / Mentoring

Our Care Team

To provide a community of unconditional loving care
 Reflecting God's love by providing practical and compassionate care support to shut-in persons.
Hospital Visitations,  Offer Practical and compassionate care support,  strength, hope and comfort.
Adult Long Term Care Worship Ministry is to offer meaningful worship to members in nursing homes,
offering an avenue for these residents to grow spiritually and to be part of a worshiping community.

Volunteer for Welcome Team / Ushers / Counters / Next Steps / Coffee Bar

Welcome Desk

This ministry welcomes and assists guests, giving them their welcome packet, directing as necessary, and alerting an usher to their arrival.

Usher Team

Distribute Bulletins, Assist in the seating of members and visitors. Provide and attend to the needs of the pastor(s) and visiting speaker or guest of honor.

Offering Counter

Available for at least half-hour or so following the second service.

Must be a member. Available at least once a month. 

Door Greeter

Be the first smile that the congregation or a new guest receives as you welcome them into the church building!

Next Steps Connections

Held after each service to help newer attendees connect with church and ministry leaders.

Here we welcome and share the story of the Church. Answer questions and provide information.

Secondarily, for the congregation to connect with staff and ministry leaders to become involved in service and ministry.

Coffee Service

Prepare coffee sunday mornings. This will provide you the opportunity to talk with many people.

Have coffee available following First service through start of second servce.

Cleaning up and putting away.

Sunday Service Host/Hostess

We are looking for service HOST/HOSTESS

In this role, you would be our Emcee (or MC) on Sunday mornings. 

You would be our official stage person, to do announcements, introduce people and engage with the congregation.

Sunday mornings you would present our announcements for first and second services (unless we were able to find a second person). You may be asked to pray or read scripture and introduce the pastor or someone else who is speaking.

Following announcements at the second service, your duties would be done for the day.

We would like to have 2 - 3 people for this position, to rotate on a monthly or quarterly basis or as needed.

Community Outreach Volunteer

Would you like to help us reach beyond the walls of our church with worship, community events, ministries and service.

Help us become an effective congregation stepping out into the community to encounter those in need of the gospel.

 

Here are a few Outreach Ideas that involve the church and the community:

Coordinate a special service project in the community    

Sponsor a School classroom  -  Collect and donate school supplies

Organize a free concert on church grounds          

Plan or start a community garden            

Christmas Caroling     -      Adopt a Family for the holidays

Yard work in the community - leaf raking, weeds, planting            

Organize a booth at the fair

Read a book to someone             

Become the Community Liaison

Treat others to a free meal 

Organize a community cookout  -  Community Talent Show

You may be surprised how raking leaves for the church family will pique the interest of the surrounding neighbors.

Next Steps Conections

Next Steps Connection events are held weekly after the Sunday morning worship services. 

The purpose is to help newer attendees connect with church leaders, have questions about the church answered and to help become more integrated to the church. 

Secondarily, these will be opportunities for the congregation to connect with staff and ministry leaders to become involved in service and ministry.

Worship Band, Vocals, Leading

Each Sunday morning we are led in worship by wonderful vocalists and instrumentalists in a variety of worship songs and styles. We accept volunteers ages 12 and older to play/sing. In an effort to know how to best place individuals, we may request a brief interview/audition.

Audio-Visual

Each Sunday we need several volunteers in sound production, visual presentation, and video recording

Assist the Worship Ministry Leader with song presentations and sound engineering, Video Editing, and Camerawork.  A/V technical guidance, leadership, and production.
Lead and train teams of volunteer technicians, Maintain A/V equipment, Record (video and audio) worship services for our internet broadcasts. Direct management of A/V quality during worship services and other major events.

Volunteer for Tech Team / Photographer / Missions Team

Tech Team

Works with computers, Network, learn various programs,

 

Church Photographer

Taking pictures around the church, during events, classes

Capturing activities, worship events, Pastors, guest, ect.

These pictures may be used for website and advertising.

Missions Team

Mission team organizes mission related events. Plans meals and works with missionaries.
