Women’s 1 to 1 Discipling
The Women’s 1 to 1 Discipling and Mentoring Ministry at Alliance Church of Elizabethtown aims to help women in our church form discipling and mentoring relationships that last for three-month intervals, up to a year or longer as the Lord leads.

What happens during Women’s 1 to 1 Discipling?
We offer training and resources with guidelines to help you along in your time together, and we do twice a year mentor tea celebration and debriefs. Women enter a 3-to-12-month relationship with a mentor and commit to meeting atleast every other week or one to two meetings per month, where they will be encouraged to live out their faith in the Lord in their daily lives. We have also seen women desiring to lead hospitality events like our twice a year annual mentor and mentee tea and cooking classes offered to teach younger and older women.
The purpose is to equip and empower women to become disciples who make disciples, following the Great Commission and Jesus' model of Titus 2:3-5, teaching life skills and training younger women to live for God’s glory that will enable women to minister to other women in the wider community for the Kingdom of God. The ministry is grounded in seeking the Lord through empowering women with faith and spiritual maturity to enter into a nurturing relationship with a younger woman in order to encourage and equip her in understanding His Word, fostering community, and applying biblical truths to daily life so she can grow in freedom as a mature believer and live for God’s glory.
Women's Connection Group is a unique time for women to connect with God and each other.
Who is it for? Women of all ages desiring to know God and get to know other women in the church and community
When is it offered? We meet twice a year, every Spring and Fall on Wednesday evenings at church from 6:30-8:30pm.
What happens during Women's Connection Group?
We start our time together with prayer and then one assigned women will share their testimony of God's faithfulness each week, we do a fun get to know you question, each week each woman from the leadership team takes turns teaching from the Word of God as a large group, and then we break out into small groups of 8 (with each table shepherd guiding the breakout time to unpack and apply the questions so we can go deeper in understanding the Word of God individually and together and then we pray in our same small groups of 8 for the 8 weeks. We have seen God move during these times. Here are some of the things we do:
- Open in prayer together
- Get to know each other with a fun question
- A different woman each week will share her testimony
- A different woman from the teaching team will take turns teaches the Word of God to the large group
- Break out in small groups of 8 at the same tables to unpack and apply specific questions to help us grow deeper in our love for God and love and care for each other
- Pray for each other
- Each women is given a women's connection group workbook with daily devotions to go deeper in personal study at home
One final note: Personally, I've been so encouraged to see how many women are hungry to come on a weeknight to be together and study His Word each week. We started this with the intention to be together and meet with God in His Word and each other but watching what happens in small groups when we live authentically in community, grow in Biblical knowledge, build friendships, and hear testimonies has been such a blessing and we have seen women's love grow for God, the church, each other and women even inviting their neighbors to come this year, I have realized this has become so much more as an empowering and equipping women to live for Jesus in becoming better women of God whether in motherhood, marriage, friendships or in the community. The Word of God is so powerful to break through the lies of the enemy, God is greater!
Women's Discipleship Life Group
Join us every other Thursday evening from 6:30 to 9 pm.
Who is it for? Women of all ages, intergenerational
What happens in our life group? We start our sharing praises with one another ,then we open in prayer, study the book of Galatians together, then we unpack and apply using a handmade workbook with questions tailored to our study, end with prayer requests and praying for each other. We also enjoy cheese and crackers together while we study.
